I Sold My Boat!

After nearly sixteen years, I sold Jolly Mon – but not without good reason. In my latest video, I say goodbye to an old friend and introduce my viewers to a new one!

SOLD – 1970 Tollycraft 28’ Royal Express Cruiser

IMG_1423

This is an opportunity to own a classic Northwest cruiser which has been lovingly maintained and updated in the more than fifteen years I have owned the boat.  She is equipped to cruise in comfort, safety, and style.  Diesel cabin heat keeps the cabin warm and dry for year round cruising, and the recently-installed solar charging system allows for extended time away from a dock.  Drop the hook in your favorite anchorages with the robust anchor and ground tackle setup, and go exploring in the fast, safe, and efficient tender.

She cruises comfortably at 16 knots at 2600 rpm, or take your time and enjoy your time on the water at 7 knots at 1200 rpm.  Autopilot, which is integrated into the navigation system makes slow cruising a pleasure.

This boat is available for sale as I am moving up to a larger Tollycraft.  There has been far more invested in updates and improvements than the asking price.

$28,500 *SOLD*

2017 Tollycraft Rendezvous

For the past several years – thirteen to be exact – late June has found me cruising to the annual Tollycraft Boating Club Rendezvous at Roche Harbor in the San Juan Islands.  Each year is an opportunity to catch up with old friends, while making new, and checking out a bunch of beautiful boats.  This year’s theme: “Destination Disney”!

I’ll let my friends with the club tell the story in my latest video, with a “Goofy” cast of characters – some goofier than others…

Summer Cruising: Canadian Tollycraft Rendezvous

As I continue my summer cruising series, my third video is from the annual Canadian Tollycruisers Rendezvous, held at Telegraph Harbour on Thetis Island, BC.

I’ve had the pleasure of attending this rendezvous for the past several years, and my summer just wouldn’t be complete without it.  The long weekend is full of fun events, and through the years has brought Tollycraft enthusiasts together with vessels ranging from seventeen to sixty-five feet.

I hope you enjoy this short video I put together as just glimpse into a great time with great people in a very special location.  Rendezvous are fun – if there’s one for your brand or design of boat, I encourage you to check it out!

2016 Tollycraft Rendezvous

I just returned from the annual Tollycraft Boating Club Rendezvous at Roche Harbor, a long weekend packed with a lot of fun and fun people.

This was my twelfth rendezvous, and while each event is a little different, they’re all about getting together with boating friends, making new ones, and enjoying some time on the water.

Rather than try to describe it all, I’ll let a short video I put together tell the story!
